Football Coaching Experience 

I have 16 years experience in coaching children between the ages of

3-16 years in a school, grassroots and academy environment. I’ve worked in a professional football academy for 7 years as head coach of the foundation stage where I coached young professionals between the ages of 5-12. The focus being on improving the physical, technical, tactical and social development of each individual as well as improving general game understanding. Part of my role also involved observing fellow coaches’ sessions to ensure they were following the coaching framework set by the club.

Session Plan

Each session would be tailor made to meet the needs and wants of the individual and would cover all aspects of the game while taking into consideration the age and ability of each player. The content can include:

 

Fitness and Fundamental Movement Programme

Ball Mastery

Individual Skill/Technique

1v1 Attacking and Defending situations

Positional Play

Talking to the individual and finding out more about their character and personality which will help with the planning of future sessions to ensure they are fully engaged and most importantly enjoyed by the player.
